The Reason for the Season
This site and all the pictures contained herin were created, coded, captured, developed, and designed by Michael Smith. All pictures were taken on or around the peak bloom date of March 30th in 2006 and April 1st in 2007 (as determined by the National Park Service) for the cherry blossoms around Washington, DC. The purpose of this site is simply to provide an easy-to-use gallery of cherry blossom pictures from Spring 2006 and 2007. Please be advised that this site is not designed for slow connections or computers. Each picture is 1152 by 864 pixels and 425 to 1,122 kilobytes in size. The number of pictures loaded per page does not exceed ten to reduce loading times. The pictures are broken up into various sections based on their content. There are also videos, complete with sound, to be viewed. You may download, edit, reproduce, and/or print out any pictures that strike your fancy without any further consent from the author. You may also link to this site or any of its pictures without any further consent from the author; it would be nice to give credit to the author, however you are by no means required to.
